Finally, some very interesting agloco update.. Agloco have not paid anyone yet. Hopefully they would this October and their partnership with Ask is really one big good news.

We are very excited to announce that Ask.com will soon become AGLOCO’s official worldwide default search provider.

For those of you not aware of Ask.com, here is some recent information. According to the August 14, 2007 report, of the University of Michigan’s American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI), Ask rates right with Yahoo and Google in customer satisfaction - Ask 75, Yahoo 79 and Google 78. Also, ForeSee Results added that, “Ask has had the biggest increase of any e-business company measured by the ACSI, up 21% since it was first measured… Ask.com seems to be well-positioned to rival Google in the coming years because it has a strong search technology lauded by analysts and users alike.”

You ready to put your money where your mouse is? UK-based Tournament.com plans to launch a service this month that will let gamers pony up an entrance fee, play a first person shooter match, and then divide the money among the winners. After the house gets its cut, of course.

At launch, you'll only be able to play Counter-Strike and Half-Life 2 deathmatches. Tournament.com founder Marcus Pearcey wouldn't comment about any publishers who might have declined to participate, much less any upcoming deals. "We look forward to signing new companies in the very new future," he said, stressing that this isn't gambling and therefore shouldn't be objectionable to any of the larger publishers. "Gambling rewards a player based purely on luck, while Tournament.com is a service that rewards players based on their skill. They're two very different models."

Nevertheless, 14 states in the US ban this sort of gaming for money, so people from those states won't be able to participate. Also, Tournament.com requires players to fax or email proof-of-age ID, which will then be verified to ensure that no one under 18 participates. Otherwise, it's easy to sign up and use your credit card or PayPal to set up an account. You install a fairly simple and sleek 10MB front end, and from there, you'll be able to jump into games with variable entry fees. With enough skill, you can take your place among top winners with names like Ars- and l33tboy.

A ranking system is supposed to match you against players of a similar skill level. An anti-cheating system will presumably keep things honest. But it's a bit disconcerting to log on and see the home page proclaiming the number of cheaters banned as if it were an accomplishment (currently at 338). "We're confident that [our anti-cheating software] is some of the best out there and we use a combination of different anti-cheating software developed by third parties in conjunction with our internally developed Tournament Anti-Cheat, also known as TAC," said Pearcey. "To supplement our security, we also have admins who continuously monitor in-game play, making sure that everyone is playing fair."

Based on the beta of the program, the entrance fees range from free-to-play (i.e. practice games with no rewards) to $10. "There's no real concrete amount that's consistent across all of the tournaments. Winnings are also dictated by a number of factors, including whether or not the tournament has a set reward amount or instead rewards based on the number of players participating." It's worth noting that in beta testing, many players complained about being unable to accumulate winnings in excess of $25, which was the requirement to withdraw money during the beta. So even if you've got seriously 733t gaming skillz, don't quit your day job just yet.

Pearcey is aware that other companies have tried this model and failed. But he remains optimistic. "Other services, in our opinion, failed to consider the big picture about a service such as this. While it's mainly about winning money and playing well, it's also about fostering an environment that's open to all players, regardless of whether they've been playing games for 20 years or just two days. Gaming is still about having fun and Tournament.com is completely dedicated to that idea."

It's time for a new strategy - make money the "stupid" way

I am sure for you PROs this is nothing new. But after many attempts and sites of all kind, simple affiliate sites, complex sites, blogs etc... I will soon try something else.

In the back of my head I "know" for sure that sometimes REALLY, REALLY stupid things...or VERY SIMPLE stupid things can bring a lot of traffic.

(Adsense!)

You all remember that stupid "hamster-dance" from a few years ago.... I saw people raving and screaming about it..while I was in awe over how pathetic and retarded it was (IMHO).

Or.... think about how many sites often just contain a joke, or something unique, dumb and funny like a single video....or things like the good old "church sign generator"

Or what about (ok, this is old now)...just some extremely disgusting pictures. (Assuming here I am not talking about gore/nudity etc...this would also be against AdSense TOS)

What about some extremely fat woman ?

Or make up some fake story which everyone just HAS to see, including pictures etc.. or maybe even a real story...something outrageous, incredible, hard to believe.

Or some video with Britney or Paris or...let your fantasy flow

----> THAT is the "high quality" stuff I always see having the most diggs and traffic and what is most talked about anywhere....NOT the hyper-complex websites where you sit 5 months alone to DESIGN them...to get 10 uniques a day !

I think it's time I sit down and do a bunch of really, really "stupid" sites in that sense....put some AdSense on it and see traffic coming in because the kids think it's cool to see someone popping a giant football-sized pimple, or an animated cat dancing...or 100 hamsters in an animation singing..or some pictures of my new cat which i will certainly claim weighs about 300lbs because I got her from Chernobyl. She genetically mutated because of the remaining radiation in Chernobyl and doctors discovered that some genes are missing which are responsible for her growth to stop. She is STILL growing.

At this point she is 9' long, 289lbs....i will show her to you soon on my new website. I will aso have a video on that site showing how she swallows one of the two cows which we daily feed to her.

Guide to making your first money online.

Alright, I’ve read a ton of threads about some people begging to spoon feed them information about how to make money online, so here is my step by step guide to making some capital that you can use for your big projects. This is easy, and I know it works because I’ve used it before. I’m going to do it step by step, so there is no reason for you guys not to earn. Let the games begin.

Look around the room you are in, and try and decide on a niche. I have a ton of car stuff in my room, so I’m going to choose the auto industry as my niche.

Log on to your favorite registrar (I prefer Namecheap because the administration panel is extremely user friendly, and I don’t have to use my credit card.) Start searching for a domain, doesn’t matter what it is really. However if you think you found a really good one, go ahead and register the dot com.

Next, get some cheap hosting. I use ResellerZoom because they are only $5 for a basic reseller package and you can host a ton of MFA sites on them. Go ahead and set up the DNS zones and what not. Wait a couple minutes (in the case of Namecheap) and everything should be set up.

Time to install some sort of CMS. I prefer Wordpress because it kicks ass at what it does. I don’t really have experience with other systems because Wordpress just gets the job done. If you need help with installing Wordpress, Aequitas from Wickedfire.com just made an awesome post that outlines everything you need to do - Complete Guide To Wordpress & Blogging. Find a decent looking theme too; it can be free, but try and customize the header with an image of something in your niche. Try and make it stand out a bit.

Next, you’ll need some plugins to help with the SERPs etc. These are the basic plugins that I recommend you get:

Those are the absolute minimum. There are probably a lot more that can help you out with the ranks and what not, but those are good for now.

Everything set up? Great, time to start doing the real work. Note that this is not fun stuff, but it’s really easy and should help you get started online with some capital. You’ll also learn a bunch by doing stuff like this.

I recommend you try and get 30-40 posts per 30 days for this ‘technique’. They don’t have to be very big articles, maybe around 200 or so words each. You can outsource this work to people such as GeekCognito; he writes for $.0225 per word. However at the end of this article I’ll explain why outsourcing is good and bad. These articles must be unique. This is one of your sell pitches. The fact that you have a ton of unique content will be one of the main reasons you sell the site. Do not use a RSS auto poster; just provide good, unique content. Need some ideas for content? Look at other blogs around you and see what they write about. Dig deep into the serps looking for information in forums that hasn’t been posted about by the big boys. Log in to Yahoo answers and look at questions people are asking. Maybe ask some friends about stuff they’d like to read about. You can even regurgitate a lot of the information you read online, just rephrase it in your own words. Just make sure it is unique, original, or written in your own words. Once you accumulate all of this content, do not post it all at once. Just post around 2 articles per day. You can set up the timestamp feature in Wordpress that will automatically post the content for you. However if you haven’t written the content yet, you can write it on a day to day bases. It takes me around 10-15 minutes to write 1 or 2 decent 200 word articles. Just keep practicing, and you’ll soon become better at it.

Time to work on link building. Directory submissions are a good place to start, and I highly recommend you out source this work. The cheapest I’ve seen this stuff go for is around 100 link submissions for $7. I wouldn’t purchase text links from individual sites unless you really know what you’re doing, or if you think you’ll be sticking with this site longer than a month or two. Try and write a ‘special’ Digg article that you think will attract the attention of Digg users; if you reach front page other people will blog about your content and you’ll receive a ton of traffic and more backlinks.

That’s about it. I’ve made several blogs using the exact steps shown above and sold them for around $150-$200. How was I able to do this? Easy, I did all of the work. I established a blog on the internet; I got it indexed, got a decent PR, had traffic coming to it, and had unique content. All the new owner has to do is keep adding unique content and monetize the site, which brings me to another list of tips.

If you think you can monetize a site well, give it a shot. Throw in some Adsense and targeted affiliate offers. Try a little bit of CPM stuff if you’re getting decent traffic. Just try whatever you can to try and make a buck. If your site starts to convert well, hold on to it! You may have found a winner, and you may wish to develop it. However if you can’t get it to convert, just sell it. I personally suck at monetization, so I usually sell my blogs to someone that knows how to make them convert.

Now let’s talk about outsourcing. You can outsource every single step of this process, less purchasing the domains. So sure, you really don’t have to do much, however if you choose to outsource everything you may make little to no profit at all. Sites like this can sell for $100 to $200. So let’s do a breakdown of what it would cost to outsource all of this:

1. $10/year - domain
2. $5/month – hosting
3. $180 - 40, 200 word articles
4. $20 – 300 directory submission

So that totals to around $215. Good luck trying to make a profit. You’ll need some awesome stats or revenue to get your money back. I personally think that you should do a little bit of link building yourself, and write the bulk of the content. You should aim to not spend over $80 to $100 on this site, because there is no guarantee of it selling - I don’t care how good you think it its. It’s only worth what someone is willing to pay. So let’s say you decide to invest $90 into this site, and do a lot of the work yourself.

1. $10/year – domain
2. $5/month – hosting
3. $55 – ~12, 200 word articles
4. $20 – 300 directory submission

So now you only have to write 70% of your content instead of all of it. And you’ll still make a good deal of money back on your investment. Okay maybe not, unless you sell for $200, but at least you get the point of what I’m trying to say.

And one more tip that I just thought of, I just bought a domain yesterday that is already indexed in Google, already has backlinks (pagerank of 2) so it basically gives me a head start. The best part of it all? I spent $5 on it. So I’m saving money and also getting a head start. Look for those great deals out there.

Alright well now that I read over this, this plan is really great. But it’s what I do and I make some okay money with it. Since I’ve already written this huge post, I thought I might as well publish it so your guys can laugh at me. Who knows, it could be used as food for thought to come up with some bigger and better schemes. Of course there are better ways to make money, however as obvious of a plan that this is, its one of the millions of ways to make money online. I didn’t intend this article to be of any substance to the big players out there, but for the new guys here at Wicked Fire to maybe help them start thinking of ways to make money.

1. After writing an article, read it out loud to yourself to make sure it sounds right. If it does, you're on the right path. Lots of times you'll use words that sound alike or look alike, though, and saying it and reading it out loud helps spot those mistakes.

2. When editing work, edit first for flow (beginning to end to make sure the piece as a whole works right and makes sense).

3. After editing for flow, edit for grammar. My best advice for this is to edit in reverse, starting with the last sentence first. It makes you pay more attention that way, and without being wrapped up in your article, you're more likely to notice little mistakes.

4. Do NOT always trust spellchecker. It's a good thing to use to make sure words are spelled right, but it doesn't check for the right WORDS. The grammar suggestions it usually makes are pretty off sometimes, too.

5. Know your audience, and edit accordingly. If you're writing a scholarly piece, you want to edit every minute detail, quote correctly, and cite VERY correctly. However, if your article is aimed towards teenagers or website owners, chances are they don't want to read something that scholarly sounding all the time, so edit it to be fun.

6. Realize that no matter what you write, it can always improve. This is VERY important for writers to realize. I can't tell you how many people I've had working for me (or students I've taught) have edited something, and then pulled the, "Well, it's done so I'll leave it alone!" routine. A lot of the time you will just leave it as-is once it's posted. If you're writing a very important piece, something you charged a lot for, or something you really want to bring home the visits/cash, save it for a day, then read it again to make sure you didn't miss anything. Shakespeare spent years refining some of his plays after he wrote them, so spending an extra day refining your article about Adsense won't hurt your credibility.

why doesn't anyone tell you that agloco doesn't actually pay out to anyone yet? a lot of people out there have been claiming that they have been recieving check when agloco themselve admit that no one is being paid yet. check their "official" blog. just curious... i don't know, i just believe in honesty i guess. btw, yes, i'm already signed up for agloco. i just don't like hyping it up if it's not making any money "yet"... how mad would people be if after making a buch of money for themselves they shut down and disappeared, haha...anyway, thats all i got...

It's been two days since the agloco viewbar has been released but a new problem surface. The agloco website is having a major downtime. Sometimes the site cannot be access especially in Asia. It maybe due to the fact that many people are downloading the agloco viewbar. According to agloco official blog, the agloco ads will appear shortly. Well, the agloco viewbar is available for download and you can install it. It seems though that without the ads, members wouldn't be making any money. Advertisers pays for their ads to be shown in the agloco viewbar to showcase their products or services and they pay agloco everytime its members view the ads. Then the money earned is divided and shared to its members. Without the ads, members would have no earnings. Hopefully, agloco would fix this soon.

We have made a workaround regarding the ad server problem and we will finally be launching the Viewbar. Some, but not all, of our ad networks will be connected. These networks have enough ads on them, so we are comfortable releasing the software as we continue to work on the outstanding issues that remain with the other networks. All of the preliminary Viewbar functions are there, but with the ad problems we will not be initially launching with the personalized ad targeting. We will continue to develop this capability after we have launched and when it is available the new version of the software will be incorporated into your viewbar automatically.

Remember that this is the first version of the Viewbar (v1.0), and with the Viewbar being automatically self-updating software, gradual improvement (both aesthetically and functionally) will appear seamlessly (you also have an option to turn off this feature and ask for updates manually, though we recommend leaving the auto-updating feature active so that you always have the latest software as improvements are made).

This weekend the Viewbar download is being moved from the test servers to the main servers. We will NOT need to temporarily take down the web site as we had thought, so we will not be sending out an email warning on that. If the transfer goes smoothly, the first download emails will be going out Monday morning California time (early Tuesday in Asia).

Please remember:

If you have a Norton firewall you may be asked to allow access to “viewbar.exe” and “update.exe” (please check “Permit Access Always” for proper installation of the Viewbar).

The Viewbar is currently available for Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Vista and will work with IE (Internet Explorer) or Firefox browsers.

AGLOCO Viewbar Update

Another Update.

We will be releasing the AGLOCO Viewbar software soon and want to update Members on how things will work when it is released.

Each Member will get an email informing them that their Viewbar is available. It will contain detailed instructions on the download, which will be done from the agloco.com website. Members will be invited to download in groups of 50,000 a day for a two week period, with Members contacted in the order in which they signed up.

Shortly before the first set of download emails go out, you will receive an email notice that the AGLOCO website will be ‘out of service’ for a few hours – this is necessary for us to move the Viewbar download system from the test server to the main servers.

Also, please be aware of the following:

1. AGLOCO Hours: You will accrue hours in your AGLOCO Member account (current maximum is five direct hours a month). Hours are earned during active surfing on the Internet. The Viewbar has a green light on it that notifies the Member when it is accruing time. Your referrals’ surfing will accumulate hours for you at a 25% rate, meaning if one of your referrals surfs for the maximum five hours you will get 1.25 (0.25 x 5) hours credited to your total referral hours. You can only get credit referral hours up to the amount you directly surf (meaning if you surf 3 hours but a referral surfs 4, you will only get credit for the first 3 of your referral’s 4 hours). AGLOCO accrues these hours each month and also has a cumulative total of all hours earned. These hours are what AGLOCO will use to calculate cash and other distributions. The Viewbar contains a one click inactive button which turns it off and removes it from your screen at any time.

2. Initial Release for Windows: The initial Viewbar release will be for Windows Vista, XP, 2000 Pro and 2000 Server. Later, we will release Mac and Linux versions of the Viewbar. Until that occurs, Mac/Linux users can still log onto any supported Windows computer and accumulate their five hours. The Viewbar works with browsers IE 5.5 or higher and Firefox 1.5 or higher.

3. Cash Distributions: To be a sustainable entity in the long term, AGLOCO makes Member cash distributions from its positive cash flow (revenue minus costs). Therefore, please do not expect a check after the first couple of months as it will take time to collect revenue from advertisers and this revenue must exceed costs in order to make cash distributions to Members. We will be keeping Members informed of our financials and you can visit the Official company blog at http://blog.agloco.com for the latest updates.

4. Multiple Users on One Viewbar: As stated previously, multiple Members may use the same Viewbar on the same computer. Only one Viewbar download will be necessary as the Viewbar software will enable each Member to log in and log out using their AGLOCO Member ID# and password (obviously, only one Member ID# can be accumulating Viewbar hours at any one time). Please note, only one Viewbar is allowed on a screen at a time.

5. One-Time Download: The v1.0 Viewbar is purposely simplistic and minimalist, but it also comes equipped with an automatic self-updating feature. The agloco viewbar has been delayed again and the agloco offical blog has not stated the new release date. Maybe they'll release it much sooner and surprise us all. I'm still positive about agloco although there has been a lot of negative feedbacks with the delay of the agloco viewbar. I'm hoping they'll release the agloco viewbar sooner or they'll have a negative image. Most people are hesitant to sign up with agloco since you cant start making money right away and delaying the viewbar would further hurt their image.

AGLOCO Issues

The agloco viewbar will be released soon. It will be release by batch depending on how early you have joined. Agloco official blog answered some issues and concerns raised by its members. Here is what they have to say.

Referral Issues – There have been two issues brought up here recently, and both are actually old issues. One was about the verification email referral link not being complete and the other was about the verification email link resulting in an error message. First let me say that in both cases the referral is correctly in the system and when the new Member does verify their email address that person will be recorded correctly to the person who made the referral. As to the ‘broken’ link, David North is correct that some email providers have different ways of reading emails. In order to reduce the spam filters and blocking of verification emails a couple of months ago we put all verification emails in plain text form. This works well on gmail and hotmail, but not all mail services – I will see if we can add some more language in the verification email to help people who get this problem. The second ‘issue’, an error message, is the result of trying to sign someone up on a computer that is currently logged into another AGLOCO Member account. This happens very rarely and is usually solved by simply logging out and then clicking on the verification email link.

Regarding Member cash payouts – I made the comment about this in my post as I saw several Members promoting instant cash and get rich quick language. While we look forward to making cash payments, AGLOCO has consistently stated that cash payments would be from AGLOCO’s positive cash. One of the biggest mistakes that AllAdvantage made was to promise a fixed hourly payout for browsing. They failed because they were paying out more money than they were bringing in and so they ran out of money very quickly. AGLOCO needs to be a sustainable business to make it worth anything for its Members. Building a sustainable company involves three primary things. First, building and maintaining significant revenue sources; second, keeping operating costs low (including salaries – AGLOCO Management has not yet been paid any salary); and third, paying Members the net cash flow. The hours you earn from the moment you first start using the Viewbar will count towards your cash payments. As I mention in the post:

“Members will begin to accumulate hours from when they first start using the Viewbar (and referral hours will also be earned). Those hours will not be wasted. Both overall hours and monthly hours will be used in determining distributions to Members.”

Information and transparency – To answer some specific questions: Yes, we will be disclosing AGLOCO’s financials, and we will do this as soon as we have income for a couple of months so we can show meaningful numbers. No, we will not be disclosing details of deals with advertisers, etc. (it could stop some companies from doing business with AGLOCO if we gave away too many details). We will not be posting lists of every advertiser – nor does Yahoo, Google or CBS for that matter. As those of you who are in business know, there will be times when, even though we have an answer to a question, we will need to stay quiet during negotiations (and we have several items like that right now).

When the agloco viewbar is realse, I'm hoping this would be one of the best ways to make money online and a great income source.

With all the attention – both negative and positive – that online paid surveys are getting these days, I am sure some of you have preconceived ideas about paid surveys already. However, as with most other things, it is better if you do some background research (as you are probably doing now because you are reading this forum) before you pass judgment.

Online paid surveys have gotten a lot of flak and some of them are not unjustified. There are several reasons for this, the main one would be the scammers out there who just want your personal details so that they can spam you. Yet there are legitimate online paid survey sites and market research companies out there who are definitely not scammers but nevertheless do not provide the expectations of their panelists.

If you are like me, your main goal in taking online paid surveys is to earn cash. This is the main issue even with legit online paid survey sites actually. Though many of them are not out to scam you, they do not actually pay cash for their surveys. Instead, you get trinkets and other token rewards. Otherwise, you are just entered for a cash drawing. Those drawings involve considerable amounts of money but of course, what are the chances of you actually winning them on a regular basis?

Our best bet then is to pinpoint the sites that actually do pay cash for each survey taken. These sites will not probably pay much – several dollars at best. It may not seem much but in my experience, many little things add up to bigger things. So my strategy is to sign up with as many sites as possible. I make sure that the sites do pay cash (no matter how small) for each and every survey completed. As I will probably get a limited amount of surveys per company anyway, I just make sure that I can make up for it with quantity. Several dollars per week per site actually adds up to a fair amount in a month’s time. I also take on sites that pay in gift checks or certificates. Though I wouldn’t be getting cold cash, I’d still be able to purchase what I want with them.

How do survey companies make money?

They actually do get a lot in return for paying you to answer their surveys. Big brand names pays this survey companies to help them in researching, assessing, and testing the applicability of new products or experimenting with new advertising methods for their existing products. These collection of facts from which conclusions may be drawn from the consumer responses is having incalculable monetary, intellectual, or financial worth to them.

The data can be used to find the right market for their product and estimate interest in their products. They can also test advertising before they spend a huge amount of money on a national advertising campaign.

Not only do the companies get a huge amount of sum from the information gathered from consumer responses, but they can even use the amount in the aggregate to form very detailed ideas of what a certain market segment wants or needs. Consumer testing done through paid surveys are one of the most important methods of research and testing that big companies use to research, develop and market their products. It's a win-win for them, for the consumer and for the people taking and answering the surveys.

We will then continue releasing the Viewbar to more and more Members in the order in which they signed up (again, all Members will be notified by email when their account is authorized for Viewbar download).

Wow. Ive just made a blogpost a couple of days ago about spymac and now I got this email.

This has been how agloco advertise their get paid to surf program, by sharing the total revenue made by agloco and then split them between the members. Everyone wins - its just, some people will win more if they have more referrals.

There has been a lot of hype about agloco. It now has a million search result. A lot of blogs and websites has been made. So what’s with all the hype with agloco? Is this really a legit get paid to surf program? An internet pyramid scheme? I guess no. If you study closely the model behind agloco, this is what advertising should be in the first place. We set up AGLOCO to give the rewards to Members that they deserve, and this includes the rewards of building the company as a Founding Member. Naturally, as an AGLOCO founder you are getting an unusually candid look into the early activity of a start-up company. This includes both good and bad news, as well as an early look at (and some input into) the decisions that are usually made long before Members have a chance to see the issue at hand.

One of the many functions of the AGLOCO Company Blog is to field some questions posed in comments and elsewhere. I will talk about a few of those now.

First: No, Alice, I am not married and yes, I have a girlfriend. And for Bill, I work mainly on the Revenue team at AGLOCO (in the transactions area of revenue), but as with any small start-up company, most people help out in more than one area.

Forms of Payments to Members: AGLOCO will make cash payments to Members in various forms, always trying to minimize costs and balance that with Member convenience. Forms should include bank-to-bank (ACH), PayPal (and similar), credit to cards (like VISA), and checks in the mail. We will also try to pay in local currencies wherever possible (I heard the question on eGold and I do not have the answer yet).

Member Calculator: If you’ve taken a look at the AGLOCO website lately, you’ll notice that we’ve improved the Member Calculator page based on your suggestions. The mechanics of the calculator are the same, but we have clarified some of the text and added an example to illustrate how it might be used. Let us know what you think!

Viewbar Status: Here’s the quick report. The good news is that the Viewbar release is currently slated for March. And the bad news is the Viewbar release is currently slated for March.

Obviously, I have two minds when it comes to this. I really want the Viewbar out there. I want Members to start using it. I want advertisers and online merchants using it. And I want to start generating revenue for Members and the company.

On the other hand, I also want more time to get ready for the Viewbar. As a part of the AGLOCO Revenue team, I want to have more time to get more agreements in place so the Viewbar makes more money even at the start.

I hear two minds from Members as well. Some Members want the Viewbar out because it would help in recruiting, and because they are eager to start earning. Other Members have expressed that they do not want it out right now because they want more time to get their networks growing before the Viewbar attracts so much recruiting competition.

Thus my mixed feelings. I will try to keep you posted on this on a weekly or bi-weekly basis until it is released (if I bug the engineers too often, they ‘snarl’ at me).

Equity/shares: As stated in previous comments, due to legal restrictions in many countries regarding a discussion of a company’s equity/shares, sales, earnings, and other things of that nature, this blog unfortunately cannot address any of those issues. This would also be true if we were Google, Yahoo, IBM, Toyota, eBay, or any other company (basically, all companies have strict controls on making forward-looking statements on these topics).

How much will I make from AGLOCO? This question has the same legal restrictions regarding “earnings” as equity/stock. There are a number of Member studies and reports out there which give their opinions. I usually find them in a search of Technorati or Google Blogs.

YouTube was acquired for $1.65 billion by Google in October 2006. The story of how three guys made hundreds of millions of dollars in one year is a great tale of entrepreneurial success. But what happened to the first users who posted their videos on the site and told their friends to do the same? We don't hear about them, because they did not get anything (other than free video hosting). Wasn't it really these users that helped turn YouTube into a multi-billion dollar company? Sure the site is great and the founders deserve all the credit they get, but it is the users who ultimately made it valuable. There are plenty of video sites, and if it wasn't YouTube, another site could have filled the space, become a household name and been acquired for an amazing price.

We are not trying to pick on YouTube (which we happen to love using). How about the early users of Skype? What about those who first downloaded the software, made calls to their friends in different countries and told their parents to use it as well? They did not see a penny of the $2.6 billion that eBay paid for the company in September 2005. And MySpace? How about the millions of members there? How did they do when News Corp. bought the company for almost $600 million? After all, it was the members that Rupert Murdoch was after when he purchased the site.

Q: Isn't this a scam?
A: No. It is founded by people with a history of successful startups, and it was recommended by by three highly reputable person: John Chow, David Lawrence and Ray Everett-Church. It doesn't cost anything to join, so you have nothing to lose.

Q: Can teenagers join?
A: Yes. You must be at least thirteen years old to join.

Q: Isn't this a Ponzi scheme?
A: No. It doesn't cost anything to join, so it is not a Ponzi scheme. Ponzi schemes are illegal, and the basics of an illegal Ponzi scheme are when the money you pay to join is then paid out to those who sponsored you. The problem comes when no one else is joining, the last people who joined lose their money. Agloco is NOT a Ponzi scheme.

Q: Is it spyware?

"If at first you do not succeed, try and buy your market share." Okay, admittedly this is a bad example of the mantra I am trying to get across but it does fairly represent the enticements a couple of search engines are using to attract users; Blingo and AGLOCO.

1) Blingo: Owned by The Publisher's Clearing House, the search engine Blingo is randomly giving away prizes to those who search on their site. They have even made it viral by providing a duplicate prize to the person who referred the winner.

2) AGLOCO: The core concept of this search engine is that it is a co-operative. Users who sign up and use its proprietary "Viewbar" to search the net will get paid per hour and will be treated like a shareholder by getting a chunk of the company's profits. Members will also get paid for referrals to friends; the crucial viral marketing method. This is not a new concept, in fact AGLOCO was created by a couple founders of the similar but long dead AllAdvantage search company. Apparently the founders that started AGLOCO feel there is a better chance the second time around.

Although this might sound like a bad thing since you cant start earning money atm, I suggest you take this time to get your own agloco referrals. Sign up your friends, your mother or grandparents. Agloco is free. All you have to do is run the agloco viewbar and surf the internet as you normally do. Don’t wait for the viewbar to come out before you start referring because there is little competition at the moment and not many people yet knows about agloco which makes it the perfect time to get referrals. If you are thinking that Waiting before the viewbar is released will make it easier for people to sign up under you, problem is, what if the people you wanted to sign up has already signed up with someone else? John Chow dot com is one of the blogs I visit everyday and get excited of every new post. I learned a lot from that site, highly informative like if you want to make your site better, link building and ways on how to earn money from your blog. I haven't heard of alladvantage before and in fact he was the one who introduced me to agloco. Of course I signed up right away. I usually don't believe in most get paid to programs on the web cause I thought most cannot be trusted but since the news came from him, I signed up right away without any doubt. Agloco does pay and if you want more proof, visit his blog.

Since I'm new to blogging, his blog has been of great help. His post are excellent and easy to understand. Most people would assume scam, scam, scam maybe because we have been scammed once or twice. We have all heard of surfjunky before and joined that bandwagaon only to find out that it was a scam. We thought that get paid to surf was back and surfjunky it is. But it turned out to our dismay to be a fraudulent business scheme. That what set apart agloco with other get paid to surf. Most pay-to-surf companies disappeared just as quickly as they appeared after the dot-com crash. This is not surprising since 100% of the revenue came from internet advertising, which was the area hardest hit. After 18 months, even AllAdvantage ceased operations. At that point, AllAdvantage had paid out over US$120 million to its members. Many members of smaller pay-to-surf companies were never paid when the companies shut down.
